love is the way book

I think this is one of those books that should be read more than once.

This was very difficult for me to go through because almost everything that was written either felt like common sense or just completely wrong. Without attachment, without binding, without expectation, while humanity is imperfect (and I can attest through experience) this helps remind me that there is a better love out there. This felt like Albert Ellis meets Alan Watts—for better (i.e., the unpadded, no nonsense advice about why you're going about happiness in the wrong ways) and worse (i.e., the inconsistent exaggerations, blank slate-ism, and repetitive messaging). That is the most that life can give you; and you can mistakenly equate this state with freedom and you die without ever having known what it means to be really free and to love.”. i dedicated each morning to reading one reflection and gained news ways of prayer and perspective. And I appreciate that. Posted Sep 30, 2020. by Image. Foreword by Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. Contributors include Brendan O’Sullivan-Hale, Linda Ryan, Hill Liles, Sandra Montes, Richelle Thompson, Lelanda Lee, and Miriam McKenney. I loved this book. She seems very kind. Anthony De Mello was a thinker who cut through so much of what we assume we understand, but have not critically looked at. One of the most enlightening books.. it's a bit like his book "awareness" , he's stressed a lot on the attachment and clinging to persons, things. I was ready to hear and absorb the ideas/principles/etc it was trying to tell me. Rather, the kind of love this book tries to cultivate is the love of all equally, without binding, without expectation, and most of all, to love one's self, for one's self is part of everything. Rather, the kind of love this book tries to cultivate is the love of all equally, wit.
