My experience in Selma, has been fairly nice. An excellent place to live. This includes the famous bridge crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge as well as the march from Selma, AL to Montgomery, AL. Based on employment rates, job and business growth, and cost of living. Selma preserves some wildlife, for example patches of woodland for deer to live in, unlike any ordinary place it also has a very calm traffic vibe, contrary to the city, which suites families with children. It a place to grow and has a great small town atmosphere.This is a home of beginning.We are only an hour away from the capital of Alabama,Montgomery. Although the city seem to be family friendly, I don't feel safe in this city and also it doesn't seem to have a ton of job opportunities. This is my home. It's full of violence and lawless people. It's okay.........,..it's s small City that'll need to fixing... Selma just need a better mayor whose going to take care of the town and his or her citizens. I currently stay in selma, al . Selma is in Bexar County and is one of the best places to live in Texas. It seems they are stuck, both sides, black and white, living in the past. They are building more neighborhoods and restaurants which is really nice. It's overall trying to make a change , and making the town better again by trying to open up new business to attract potential tourists. Scary place to live if you’re white with morals and values! Many families and young professionals live in Selma and residents tend to lean liberal. My neighborhood has gotten many much needed improvements. Based on violent and property crime rates. White people are the worst. There is very little to do in this town. Living in Selma offers residents a sparse suburban feel and most residents own their homes.
